Visa for Vietnam prior to your trip
Nowadays, Visa for Vietnam has been improved in procedure and less frustration for travelers. Attempts have been made by the Authority to exempt visas to some Scandinavian countries including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and EU countries including UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Russian Federation for maximum 15 days. Those citizens from Asian countries are Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Japan, South Korea, Cambodia and Laos do not need a visa to enter Vietnam but the duration of exempt is different (see details on list of visa exemption countries). Arranging the necessary paperwork for a Vietnamese visa has become fairly straight forward. Having a valid visa stamped in your passport prior to your departure is strongly recommended. You can apply from Vietnamese Embassy and Consulate oversea world-wide, however, not all cities you are staying have Vietnam Embassy. What you need is to decide which forms of visa you would like to have. We provide two kinds of services which are:
Vietnam Visa On Arrival (abbreviation as: VOA)
This is fastest and the most convenient way to avoid the expensive and unnecessary time-consuming queuing at Embassies and the like. The entry visa will be stamped locally at the Immigration office on arrival international airports within Vietnam comprising Hanoi/Noibai, Ho Chi Minh City/Tan Son Nhat and Danang – procedure is rather fast, you settle the stamp fee in cash to the Authority at visa application counter. You need to have what is called an Approval Letter from Vietnam Immigration Department to be able to get a stamp at the airport. We will do this for you, then send you a copy by email, you hold it to board your flight.
Visa Approval Code
This is the second way of obtaining Vietnam visa through our service network. If you live in a city/country which has a Vietnam Embassy or Consulate, then you consider doing this. We will need your personal data in advance to process, then send you an approval code enables you to get visa stamp into your passport. Stamp fee to pay in cash at Embassy or Consulate which varies.
Citizens from the following countries are exempt from holding a Vietnam visa, provided that they will only stay for a short-term period:
• Belarus* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Brunei (visa-free travel for up to 14 days)
• Cambodia (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• Chile (visa-free travel for up to 90 days)
• Denmark* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Finland* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• France* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Germany* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Indonesia (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• Italy* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Japan* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Kyrgyzstan (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• Laos (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• Malaysia (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• Myanmar (visa-free travel for up to 14 days)
• Norway* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Philippines (visa-free travel for up to 21 days)
• Russia* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Singapore (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• South Korea* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Spain* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Sweden* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
• Thailand (visa-free travel for up to 30 days)
• United Kingdom* (visa-free travel for up to 15 days)
*Citizens of these countries must wait at least 30 days between visits if they want to re-enter Vietnam.
Traveling to Vietnam Without a Visa
If you are from one of the countries exempt from a Vietnam visa for short stays, then you can travel with just your passport, which must be valid for at least another six months. However, keep in mind that you cannot stay for longer than the days your visa exemption allows. If you need to stay for longer, you can apply for an extension of your stay at one of the Immigration Offices in Vietnam or apply for a visa from an Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam in your country.
